TuneECU is a totally FREE software for the reprogramming, diagnosis and testing of the Engine Control Unit (ECU) fitted to Electronic Fuel Injected motorbikes. It also reads and writes ECU Maps for re-tuning (full features dependent on model). Hardware available from here.
Makes Models Covered Date of Info
Since December I have been reaching out to various aftermarket companies that provide either ECU flashing services or DIY tuning options for Ducati. In May I restarted my campaign to pester the short list of companies that gave me even the slightest positive response. BrenTuning was the first to respond, and the only one to provide anything. Ducati Ecu Reflash; Supported models Features BUY NOW!! The TuneBoy logging software for the Marelli ECU records the information needed to adjust the fuel mapping on your motorcycle. The software records the RPM, throttle position, engine temperature and up to two wide band Air Fuel ratio inputs (LC-2 wide-band O2 sensor kit is sold separately).
Downloads and information on the software can be found here: Tuner Pro - Used for editing and saving your tune files Guzzi Diag - Diagnostics and Read/Write sofware, and definition files (definition files are used with Tuner Pro to create your tune) - Also used for Aprilia RSV4 For ducatis use the Reader/Writer specific for you ECU (i.e. 15x Reader for 15M ecus, IAW5xReader for 5AM/59M ecus) The Guzzi Diag software is universal, simply download the Guzzi Diag software here: We offer this kit. Woolich Racing Ducati ECU Flashing products allow you to tune the maps and settings in the Ducati ECU. Fuel Maps, Ignition Maps, Secondary Throttle Plate Maps, RPM Limiters and many more advanced settings can be modified allowing you to tune your bike to the limit. I ended up getting a Ducati Scrambler Classic and sold the T100 and it seems to have the same issues as many if not all new fuel injected bikes, choked at the intake and plugged at exhaust and to lean at idle and low revs to meet emission standards. Have you seen the Rapid Bike Self Tune ECU for the Scrambler?

Ducati Ecu Reflash
Please see tuneecu.com for software and more details.
Note: Where compatibility states ‘including models 2013’ etc this should be taken as later models are not compatible. Also a very late 2013 model may still not be compatible as there is never a precise line between revised models, manufacture and registration.

I spent some time last night google'n for info about aftermarket diagnostic software or a scanner to look at some live data on my 2012 1199, check codes and reset lights. The more I read, the more confused I became. I own a few automotive scaneers, Snap on MT2500 and a GM Tech 2 so I value the insight gained with one. Does anyone have some definitive info on what's out there, what bikes it works on, what the capabilities are, and what is required to put together a package that works? I owm one bike, so buying a $1000 to $3000 package makes no sense, buy a few hundred would be a good investment.
